Earthweek, running from Monday, March 24 to Friday, March 28nd  this year, is an annual student-led, week-long event put on by the School of Earth and Environmental Sciences (SEES). The week will celebrate the research being done in the seven departments within SEES (School of Natural Resources, Arizona Institutes of Resilience, Environmental Science, Geosciences, Hydrology and Atmospheric Sciences, Laboratory of Tree Ring Research, and School of Geography and Development) and host a variety of other events celebrating the Earth and our relationships with it.

This year’s theme, Resilient Earth: Bridging Nature and Community, highlights the deep interconnections between natural systems and the communities that depend on them.
From the changing climate to evolving ecosystems, resilience is key to navigating environmental challenges and ensuring a sustainable future. This year, we seek to explore how communities—both human and ecological—adapt, restore, and thrive in the face of environmental change. Through research showcases, discussions, and interactive events, we invite students, faculty, and the broader community to engage in conversations on sustainability, conservation, and the innovative solutions that unite people and nature.
