EarthWeek 2022:
Many Voices, One Planet
EarthWeek is an annual student-led research symposium brings together researchers from each department in the School of Earth and Environmental Sciences (SEES). The departments within SEES include Environmental Science, School of Natural Resources and the Environment, Geosciences, Hydrology and Atmospheric Sciences, School of Geography and Development, and the Laboratory for Tree Ring Research.
EarthWeek is a time for the SEES to show how we as humans acknowledge and celebrate the Earth and our relationships with it. EarthWeek is also a time for SEES students, faculty, and staff to expand our knowledge.

Carson Scholars Lightning Talks
Monday - March 21st, 2022
Join Carson Scholars for a series of lightning talks taking place before the Plenary Event on the first day of Earth Week 2022. Plenary Event
Monday - March 21st, 2022
Join the departments in the School of Earth and Environmental Sciences at the University of Arizona as we embark on our first day of EarthWeek 2022. The event will start with lightning talks by Carson Scholars at the University of Arizona, and it will be followed by a featured talk with this year’s EarthWeek plenary speaker - Winona LaDuke.
El Día Del Agua Y La Atmósfera
Tuesday - March 22nd, 2022
El Día del Agua y la Atmósfera is held every spring and is one of the hallmark events held during EarthWeek, a showcase of research for students enrolled in the School of Earth and Environmental Sciences and the School of Natural Resources and the Environment.
GeoDaze
Wednesday - March 23rd & Thursday - March 24th, 2022
GeoDaze is a student-run symposium organized by the Department of Geosciences at the University of Arizona. Run by the generosity of private donations, the symposium allows graduate and undergraduate students an opportunity to showcase their research.
Tree Ring Day
Wednesday - March 23rd, 2022
Tree Ring Day aims to celebrate UA's dendrochronological community, featuring presentations from current graduate students, a catered lunch from Tucson Tamale, and tree-ring games.
Trivia Night
Wednesday - March 23rd, 2022
Come Join our EarthWeek 2022 Trivia Night on the Roof of ENR2 or Attend Virtually. Anyone, including undergraduates, faculty, staff, graduates, postdocs, and friends is allowed to participate. Come relax, eat some food, have fun, and play a few rounds of trivia to win some fun prizes. Trivia will be a mix of questions submitted from our Graduate Student EarthWeek Representatives. Rounds will contain be categorized by SEES Departments. There will be an assortment of vegetarian and vegan food options.
ENViSion
Thursday - March 24th, 2022
ENViSion is a showcase of Environmental Science's graduate and undergraduate students' poster sessions and oral presentations to foster collaboration and improve science communication.
